Yes, There Is Somewhere To Hide From The Collapse Of The Everything Bubble-GOLD and GOD

Earlier today, an article appeared on Zero Hedge titled ‘Nowhere To Hide From The Collapse Of The Everything Bubble’ authored by Nick Hubble via Fortune and Freedom. In this writing, Mr. Hubble makes the over arching case that all asset classes are falling due mainly to the actions of the central banks and their money printing. In general, he is correct. However, Hubble made two massive errors in his claims. What concerns me is that if the average person takes the following information at face value from Hubble, or continues these assumptions as they are part of the current Zeitgeist, he or she will indeed be in for a world of hurt that they likely won’t come back from.
Mr. Hubble stated …’Cash is outperforming most investment classes lately, which is incredibly ironic given the surge in inflation… What??? In a high inflation environment your cash is evaporated by the increased cost in the goods you have to buy in the real world.
Let’s talk about the performance of cash.
In the US, the May Consumer Price index was up 8.6% year over year. This is an under reported number as John Williams at ShadowStats reports that inflation is running at a rate of over 15%! What does this mean to someone holding cash as an investment? It means that the $100 in their bank account last year only buys $85 worth of groceries and goods this year.
That means the real, inflation adjusted performance of cash is a negative 15% (-15%). As of 6/28/22, Slickcharts has the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 14.84% (-14.84 percent) year to date. If we measure the Dow performance of the last 12 months, it is only down -7.97%.
That means that cash is actually underperforming the horrible actions of the stock market.
Secondly, Hubble claims …’Gold is fairly flat, especially in currencies other than the US dollar. But it’s supposed to surge at times like this.’…Gold ended 2021 at roughly $1805/oz. As I write this morning, Gold at last look was approximately $1824. So gold, in US dollars, is up around 1.1% YTD (19/1805).
We know that the gold markets are suppressed by the central/bullion banks because they are true money and the true competition to the US dollar which is why the central banks do it. That fact alone is reason enough for the average person to hold physical gold (and silver). So the gold price should be higher by multiple orders of magnitude.
But even if we measure gold in terms not of the US dollar, but in other currencies, we see a much different valuation of gold.
The country of Turkey is suffering from massive inflation. Gold, as measured in terms of Turkish lira is up over 104% during the past 12 months (thank you ycharts).
So you see, gold is surging in this inflationary environment. It just depends on who is doing the measuring. Or perhaps, it is just who cares enough to tell the public.
Mr. Hubble, there is somewhere to hide from the everything bubble. It is called GOLD (and for the average person, silver). Starting with Russia whose currency is up roughly 34% against the US dollar since linking to gold, the rest of the world will have a vested interest in not having their fortunes tied to a country (the US) who has the world reserve currency and only a printing press to back it. Gold is on the assent and it will be that way for a very long time indeed. Inflation will destroy much of the non-commodity backed financial assets that people in the west have trusted since the equities bull market started 40 years ago. It is a different world now.
We are about to go through things that no one could think is possible. We are going to go through things that the world does not have answers for. We must hold onto the true and eternal rock. That is God himself. The God of the Bible is your TRUE hiding place. The God of the Bible provided His Son, Jesus Christ to shelter you from the storm and to save you.
