U.S. Pension Funds Could Face Their Own "Lehman Moment"
/Why is this important? Because people in our community who are caring for a disabled/special needs family member because they have a decent pension may have their ability to provide for their household put into jeopardy. That could happen if the assets that provide the income for for the pension fund become compromised as they just were in England as long government bonds were bailed out by the British government last week before they wrecked pensions and mortgages. Consider. This is not financial advice. Consult your financial advisor.
From the article…’"I think we're going to have a serious moment of real panic, probably an order of magnitude bigger than the one they just had in England," I said. "They're going to try and ram this thing through and get us to 4% by the end of the year. The consequences will be devastating. It's going to be a wild ride."
